Who: Optimus Prime and YOU!
What: Anchor has a new friend. Come say hello! Don't mind his shyness-er. Maybe you should.
When: 9/26 Morning
Where: Anchor's central park.
Warnings: Nothing I can think of off the top of my head; will edit if necessary
It was a matter of a single sparkpulse- one moment upon is travel path, the next in a completely new area, falling on to a knee, reeling from the sudden change in sensory data. From the soundless vacuum of space to a - park? - with sunlight streaming down from above, Optimus Prime needed a few moments to simply process all of this as he looked around in utter confusion.
Architecture- ladders? No, looking beyond- smaller rooms, organic construction, and his first thought looking around was that he was somehow still on Earth-
And were that the case, he needed cover. Quickly.
Grimacing for the fact that there was no cover, or at least nothing acceptable, he nonetheless transformed and moved towards one of the covered walkways. At least there, he wouldn't be so glaringly obvious. Oddly enough, the sequence alerted him to something else- a small, beeping device that wound up on his driver's seat, which upon closer inspection seemed to be a data fob. It was something he was quite certain he hadn't had when he left Earth (nevermind where he was now), and that alone drew his attention for a long few moments before he returned his scanners to the area at large.

crashes in here
She was walking toward the park, for a moment with her eyes half-closed to feel the sunlight on her face, when...
...she sensed someone. Someone she couldn't get a good read on. Strange. Another mutant? One with some sort of primitive psi block? She couldn't tell, but she was on edge instantly, turning around, brown eyes warily scanning the streets. "Who's there?"
hey gurl haaaaay also please forgive shy-at-first-prime
Until now.
He noticed her quickly enough, of course; even deep in thought, the simple motion of another living creature immediately took his attention. To say nothing of the fact that she had paused, and was looking around as though somehow sensing someone watching her.
For the moment, he remained where he was, perhaps yearning for the somewhat less eyecatching altmode he'd worn when waking up in the Yeager's barn; the blue and red flames seemed like targets, even in the shadows as they all were. Then again, stealth was never his strong suit.
oops NYCC killed me.
She narrows her eyes, looking around. No, she can definitely sense someone. Something. It didn't read entirely human, but well, she was a mutant herself. And it was--or seemed to be--coming from over there.
Cassandra steps closer to the truck, one hand moving to her Lawgiver's holster. "I know you're there. Come out, with your hands up." Never mind she had no jurisdiction here. This was instinct, and there was something not right going on here.
i do know that feel! you at least have fun?
Optimus considers his options for another few moments, then activates an ill-used system. Carefully controlling its projection, he focuses the light near the floor of his cab before having it 'look up', blinking false eyes before he has the hologram carefully 'climb' back in to his seat.
As an afterthought, he lowers a window. Now, what was the proper response...
"...can I help you, officer?"
I did and then I fell into RP fail
There was something very weird here. She could sense a presence, a mind, but it didn't seem to be coming from the man in front of her.
"You have ID?" It's a Judge's response, one that clings to rote form and hopefully doesn't call into question that she...really doesn't have any authority here.
/pats
He still makes the 'effort' to look. It gives him a moment to stall and try to come up with something.
"I...appear to be missing it."
Optimus has never been a very good liar. Which is why he's telling the truth.

"If I may," he begins slowly, "I do not know how I came to be here in the first place. Perhaps those responsible...?"
Beep, quietly goes the tiny metal item on his seat. It triggers a moment of inspiration.
"I have a small device I did not have before. It may be they thought it a fair trade."
In the next moment, he realizes he has very few options of giving it to her.

"None of us know. We just...showed up here." Then there was the earthquake. It's been interesting. "That rig must be important to you. I didn't get my Lawmaster." Which was, just for the record, much smaller than a big rig.

ARRIVALING UP IN YOUR LOG
She appeared mid-step in the previously empty park, stumbling with a gasp as everything from the ground - not the stairway she was just climbing up - to light to air pressure changed all at once. Falling down to her hands and knees in the grass with a wordless yelp, she shook her head, glancing around to get her bearings-
Mikaela blinked, owl-eyed with shock despite the sudden light.
"...Uuuhh."
Not moving for a long moment, she finally palmed her hand across her eyes furiously, glancing up and up at the levels towering above.
"...what the shit?"
The fob in her hand chirped innocently.
why hello there
...it might explain something, if this is the same as what's happened to him, but...
Wait.
Wait.
He consults the data again, interest piqued.
Well hello~
Tossing the fob into the grass ahead of her reflexively, Mikaela staggered to her feet to take a hasty step back- only to stumble and land right back on her backside when her legs shook under her own weight. Hissing through clenched teeth, she waited for several long, tense seconds, expecting anything but the continuing silence and lack of...well, anything that happened.
No one else appeared from the towering cityscape above. Nothing exploded. The fob's second chirp was rather anticlimactic.
"O...kay. Creepy."
Crawling forward, Mikaela carefully picked the thing back up as cautiously as one might pick up an small, dangerous animal. It looked like a cheap mp3 player, screen and all, but-
"E-fourteen?"
No sense whatsoever. Thumbing the fob, Mikaela eventually decided against playing 'push the ominous button' for the moment. No sense in leaving it behind, though. Instead, she slowly pushed herself up to her feet, standing on long, unsteady legs.
If nothing was going to come after her...well. Time to look around.
Steps shaky, Mikaela headed in the direction of the buildings around the perimeter of the park, automatically seeking out the people that should, logically, be living or working there. Squinting in the sun, she wasn't heading directly Optimus' way, oblivious to the truck hidden in the shade.
i had this tag halfwritten for like a week fml
And the most subtle way there?
He flashes his headlights, throwing the highbeams on for all of a second before turning them off- then flashign them again. The angle should make the light source visible to the human up ahead, unless she's truly distracted.
Then again, there's not much to distract her, unless she's seeing something he's missed.
Is all good c:
Headlights seem out of place, but it's the first thing she thinks of- and the second flash out from the covered walkway only confirms it.
Her wariness spikes, hair on her arms standing on end despite the sun. Unknown vehicle in the shadows, teleported to a strange place - again - flashbacks to Egypt are inevitable. She almost bolts. But a Decepticon would already be tearing after her, if it cared at all. She hadn't seen a single 'con nor 'bot outside of TV or the internet since getting the boot out of their lives.
Mikaela holds her breath as she backtracks, warily keeping close to the wall as she creeps close enough to see past the sunlight into the shade.
Huge. Truck. The shape isn't familiar at all, but once she's close enough to see color... She gasps, her hand on the wall suddenly more useful for support than caution; her knees nearly give out all over again.
"...Optimus?" She barely breathes it out; it hurts to hope, but no one else ever ran around covered in red and blue flames.
at least this one came more quickly
Now he watches her approach, apparently, after that moment of surprise - but at least she seems to have recognized him. He decides that it would be prudent to put up another system, just in case anyone's watching from a distance - he activates his holomatter within his cab and lets it 'roll down' his window, not quite leaning outside.
The look on his face is an attempt to be friendly, but he can't help it from looking as serious as he looks.
"Mikaela." He almost asks if she knows where they are, but...no. He saw her appear. "Do you recognize this place...?"
Perhaps almost as useless a question.
My turn for slow though!
...But it's a good weird, given the fact that she's hearing it at all.
It's really him.
"Aah... Umm? No?"
Mikaela shakes her head, helpless confusion and a sudden burst of irritation flaring up at the question, popping the nostalgic bubble. It's a freaky, terrifying situation, but after seven years away from the giant robots at were supposedly her friends, it's not exactly the reunion she ever dared to imagine.
"I just. Appeared. Right out of my house."

Though the expression doesn't change, Optimus may very well have put a grimace in his words themselves.
"Are you unharmed? I saw you arrive, even if I do not understand how it came to happen." Still, the concern is obvious; the years apart have done nothing to change his protectiveness, it seems.

"Yeah. I'm fine, just tired? I just- I don't know either? It was nothing like teleporting over to Egypt that time with Jetfire."
She frowns at him, head tilting in consideration.
"Don't tell me you just appeared here, too? Wherever 'here' is..."

This is incredibly vexing. In a very human gesture - perhaps one of the few he's mastered - his holoform reaches up to rub the bridge of its nose.
"The construction here would suggest a multitude of inhabitants," he continues, "but I have seen only one other human. It is...empty, here."
He doesn't seem to consider this a good thing.

"At least you've seen someone else..." She grumbled.
"Did they have any information, at least? Is this their home, or did they end up here like us somehow?"

The truck seems to almost sigh, a light cycle of air coming from its grill.
"I have little other information to provide," he admits. "I am sorry."
